Tiffany & Co. and Its Most Memorable Collaborations in the Recent Years

Some recent collaborations by Tiffany & Co. have truly moved the brand. Here are some of the very popular collaborations that have truly made a mark in recent years.

With nearly 200 years of glorious history, American brand Tiffany & Co. is rightly considered the quintessential jewellery house in the world — one that represents class and creative excellence in the most unique and stylish ways. Often making headlines for its popular collaborations, the brand owes its joint venture successes to the luxury conglomerate, LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton), which acquired Tiffany & Co. as one of its 75 luxury maisons in 2021.

The signature Tiffany Blue boxes containing sophisticated pieces such as the famous diamond ‘Engagement Ring’, the ‘Heart Tag Necklace’ and the ‘925 sterling silver rings,’ have been captivating the world since their debut and have an interesting history too. Founded by Charles Lewis Tiffany and his partner, J. B Young as ‘Tiffany & Young,’ the first Tiffany store opened on Broadway in New York City in 1837 with USD 4.98 as its first day’s sales. However, it was only after Charles took control of the company in 1853, that ‘Tiffany & Co.,’ which the world cherishes today, came into existence.

From Tiffany’s American aesthetic flourishing through the Art Deco years of the 1920s and 30s to its current collaborative flairs such as the 2023 Tiffany & Co. x Fendi limited-edition ‘Tiffany Blue’ Baguette triumphing at the global front, success came in swift for the company. So much so that the Tiffany collaborations, which began with a jewellery piece with contemporary artist Frank Gehry in 2006, are now statement emblems of pop culture.

Of late, the jewellery house has seen an incredible influx of collaborative opportunities ranging from streetwear and sports to art and fashion. And as the

Retail industry news delivered directly to you. Subscribe to Retail-Insider.

UK-based JD Group has opened it’s second ‘size?’ sneaker and apparel store in Canada in downtown Vancouver. Size? is known to do collaborations and release limited-edition product ‘drops’ which means that one may expect to see lineups periodically, something Toronto has become known for since its size? store opening last year.

Located at 833 Bute Street, the new Vancouver flagship size? location is just off of the retail-rich mecca of Robson Street and is accessible to foot traffic within the Bute-Robson Plaza.

Retail Insider’s Co-Editor-in-Chief Craig Patterson covered the initial announcement back in March, with an in-depth article on the positioning of the brand in Canada with expansion plans. That included Canada’s first size? storefront at 1000 Queen Street West at Ossington.

Jordan Karp of brokerage Savills Canada represents the brand in Canada and he negotiated the downtown Vancouver lease deal on behalf of the retailer. Martin Moriarty, Mario NegrisJosh CochraneJustin Ergas and the Marcus & Millichap team acted on behalf of the landlord.

Size? was founded in 2000 and is known for stocking limited-edition sneakers, fashions, and accessories that are primarily classified as ‘streetwear’, with some product launches classed as global exclusives. The retail concept was initially launched by JD Group to trial edgier product collections before introducing them to the mass market through the JD fascia. Size? currently has stores in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain.

The entry of size? into the Canadian market speaks to the confidence brands have in brick-and-mortar retail. Size? also has robust social media and launched a Canadian website at size.ca in 2021.

J Balvin and Miller Lite Drop BodegaWear Collection

J Balvin and Miller Lite are showing love to local convenience stores with a new collaboration collection called BodegaWear.

The 10-piece capsule designed by the Colombian reggaetón artist and Miller Lite celebrates the fashion and streetwear scenes of bodegas, or small delicatessen and/or convenience stores mostly in New York City. The collection is comprised of styles meant to be thrown on for a quick corner-store run, like socks and slides, hoodies, graphic T-shirts, sweatpants, a shacket, varsity jacket, beverage wrap, metal cooler and a bucket hat that doubles as a beer bucket. Prices range from $19 to $349 and proceeds from all sales benefit Accion Opportunity Fund, an organization supporting bodegas, corner stores and Latino-owned businesses.

More from WWD

“For millions of people, a stop at the bodega is part of their daily routine,” said J Balvin. “It’s a space deeply rooted in community, where you always know what you’re looking for but never know what you’re going to get — a place where street style meets convenience. This collection is reflective of that easy but functional vibe.”

This tie-up is Balvin and Miller Lite’s second partnership, serving as the follow up to Es José Time, a play on the brewer’s Miller Time phrase and Balvin’s real name José Álvaro Osorio Balvin. In 2021, the partners produced limited-edition cans in vibrant colors, which Balvin has been known for. He stressed his affinity for rich colors with his award-winning 2020 album Colores, his collaboration with Air Jordan that debuted at the Super Bowl in 2020 and launched at the end of the year, and his popular dyed hair look in blue that took over the 2022 Grammy Awards this year.

What’s the story?

The Juve away jerseys have been re-done and customised by Liberal Youth Ministry for a limited edition collection

Juve’s new away jersey was released last week and is already getting the streetwear re-design treatment.

Let’s take a look at the designs.

Juve’s Liberal Youth Ministry jersey

The limited-edition collection comes with five separate designs. The Juve away jersey serves as an outer layer, with most of the jersey’s being ripped to showcase a colourful design beneath it.

A standout is an un-ripped Juve jersey that comes with orange and purple Swarovski crystals. It was worn by Paul Pogba during the Dover Street Market launch in Los Angeles.

Another design comes with a green Yin-Yang symbol as well as a cosy design that comes with a pink hoodie that serves as an underlayer for the ripped Juve jersey

The launch

The collection was launched on 25 July with Juventus ballers like Paul Pogba, Denis Zakaria, Manuel Locatelli, and Dusan Vlahovic making an appearance.

According to an article on Hypebeast, Pogba embraces Football’s crossovers with fashion.

“It all matches. fashion and music and football — everything goes together.”

This is not Juve’s first crossover with a streetwear fashion brand, they worked with Palace Skateboards for their fourth kit during the 2019/20 season.

We’re Drooling Over Mr Porter Bright Future Jewelry Collection, a Trust Fund Kid’s Dream Come True

If your clothing reflects your personality, shouldn’t your jewelry and watches do the same thing? That’s the idea behind Mr Porter’s new Bright Future Collection. Just as menswear now includes nontraditional styles, colors, and fabrics, this limited-edition jewelry collection explores that within the realm of watches and fine jewelry.

“Men’s fine jewelry is having a moment right now — or what I would call a renaissance — as a form of self-expression and exploration,” Maxim de Turckheim, Senior Buyer, Fine Jewelry and Watches for the Brand, said in a recent press release. “What is exciting is how men are being bold with their fine jewelry choices — embracing colors, chunky, short necklaces, statement earrings, oversized rings and summery anklets.“

Today’s Top Deals

Taste in jewelry is extremely subjective, and the pieces in the luxury collection will speak to many different types of style. The collection includes items like the incredibly cool (and apparently sold out) La Californienne watch pictured in the featured image of this article, which would be a perfect work watch for any professional guy. But it also includes diamond-studded marijuana pendants.

We’re both drooling and rolling our eyes at the collection, which has truly astronomical prices at the upper end and still out-of-this-writer’s-budget items at the lowest end.

The collection is definitely catered to younger men and members of Gen Z with a sophisticated but fun sense of style. Basically, it’s a trust fund kid’s dream come true.

You can shop the entire collection at the link below, or keep scrolling to learn more about the new “wearable art” jewelry line.
