Toronto is getting a new fashion and music festival next month

MODECANADAROCKS will be bringing Canadian music and fashion together into one big night this March.

The festival – held at Rebel –  will highlight some of the up and coming talent in Canada’s music and fashion scene, and is set to open with a red-carpet reception, followed by a night of live music, DJs and performances.

The live performances of the night are set to be divided into three parts, with different focuses throughout each act – Of Art and Indigeneity, The Order of Canadian Style, and Black to the Future.

Canadian musicians like Cody Coyote, Tyler Shaw and Savannah Ré will also be taking the stage throughout the night. Ari Hicks and Zeina are among some of the other artists performing, and the Toronto Kiki Ballroom Alliance will also be in attendance.

You’ll also get the chance to grab some food, drinks, and browse around, as small local businesses will be setting up shop throughout the night.

MODECANADAROCKS Fashion Music Festival will be held at 11 Polson Street on March 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Tickets range from $50 to $275, and are available on Eventbrite. Proceeds from the event will be donated to organizations supporting homeless youth in Ontario.

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s wedding dresses compared: ‘Safe’ vs. ‘royal’

The Princess of Wales’s dress perfectly accentuated her figure, the stylist said. Hallie remarked: “She did that big V-neck so her shoulders look beautiful and squared and it nipped in at the waist so it really made her look itty bitty teeny. Which she is, but you’re accentuating it.”

Meghan’s dress, on the other hand, could have been taken in to accentuate her frame, the stylist said. Hallie told Express: “It almost does look like it should have had a quarter of an inch taken in, exactly in the same proportion, but just a little bit.”

The stylist did praise both dresses for their timelessness. She explained: “I do appreciate for both from a modesty standpoint, especially for young women. You can be beautiful and sexy in your own right without bearing a tonne of skin.

“I think what’s trending in bridal often, is like a nightgown like a little slip. Which is fine, but these are pictures you’re going to look at forever. So that is where this timelessness is.”

As the season changes from chilly winter to summer, dogs and other pets also require a new skincare routine. The weather in February has been warmer than normal thus far, necessitating routine pet grooming because they are sensitive to seasonal allergies in addition to fleas and ticks during this time of year. You may find an allergy or dry skin if you notice your pet scratching, licking, or itching excessively. Dr. Shantanu Kalambi, Chief Veterinarian, Supertails.com, advises pet owners to take care of their pets’ skin as the weather warms up to avoid dryness, inflammation, and other skin problems.

She shares the following springtime skincare advice for your pet:

Daily grooming: It’s important to brush your pet frequently to help remove loose fur and prevent matting. Regular grooming can also promote circulation and disperse natural oils, which are beneficial for your pet’s skin and coat.

Protection against ticks and fleas: Ticks and fleas are at their peak in the springtime. You can protect your pet by using flea and tick prevention products. Consult the veterinarian before buying any product.

Prevent Allergies: Speak to your veterinarian about potential allergies and treatment options if you observe excessive scratching, licking, or itching.

Beware of the sun: Pay attention to the sun as it rises and protect your pet from it. Consider applying pet-safe sunscreen to exposed areas on pets with light-coloured or short hair who may be more susceptible to sunburn.

Make your pet look clean and smart: Maintain your pet’s skin and coat health. Retain a clean appearance and give your pet a bath once every four to six weeks. Over-bathing can remove natural oils from the skin, resulting in dry, itchy skin.
